Who We Are

The Health Awareness & Anti-Drugs Initiatives Official Group (HAADI) is a non-governmental, nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting public health, drug-free living, and community resilience across Nigeria.

Formerly known as the Drugs Free Society Initiative (DFSI), HAADI expanded its mission to include broader health awareness, community sensitization, and multi-level collaboration to address drug abuse and related social challenges. Headquartered in Gombe State, HAADI delivers structured interventions focused on prevention, awareness, support, and rehabilitation referrals—designed to fit the cultural contexts of the communities served.

Our Mission

To promote a healthier and drug-free society through awareness, prevention, counseling, and stakeholder collaboration.

Our Vision

A society empowered with knowledge, support, and opportunities to live free from drug abuse and preventable health challenges.

Core Values

Compassion: Empathy for all.

Integrity: Transparency and accountability.

Empowerment: Enabling informed choices.

Collaboration: Partnerships for scale.

Cultural Sensitivity: Respect for local norms.

Community Ownership: Sustainable change.

Why Our Work Matters

Nigeria faces one of the highest substance abuse rates in Africa. The Northeast struggles with the combined challenges of insecurity, trauma, unemployment, and limited access to mental health services—making drug abuse even more widespread.

HAADI bridges this critical gap through our community-centered model, ensuring early intervention, holistic support, and rehabilitation referral systems are accessible to those in need, transforming lives and communities.
